There are many things to do in the area. Fishing, horseback riding, and gambling to name a few.
Outdoors Activities
Nearby Waitts Lake (5 minutes) is nestled in the mountains and surrounded by nature. Amenities include a public boat launch and this large lake is open to both fishing and water skiing. It is stocked with bass and trout along with other species. Waitts lake is treasured by the locals.
There are plenty of amazing trails for horseback riding too. When you get here we'll point you in the right direction.
Indoors Activities
In addition to the Chewelah and Two Rivers Casinos mentioned on the home page, nearby Spokane has just about anything you could think of. From the IMAX Theater at Riverfront Park to indoor paint-ball, you'll find it there.
Events
The Spokane Interstate Fair in the month of September has a large number of horse and mule events in addition to other animals, carnival rides, and concerts.
Chewelah, Washington's 'Chataqua' on the second weekend of July features live music, activities and an ever popular crafts fair. Good food and good fun.
